Themed around gugak (traditional Korean music), the cultural heritage and traditional arts of Yeongdong-gun, this cultural-arts performance festival is held annually to honor the musical achievements of Nangye Park Yeon and contribute to the promotion of traditional culture and arts. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival inherits the成果 of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo, promoting gugak, Korea's heritage, to the world and contributing to a second Korean-Wave cultural renaissance. As the only gugak festival in Korea, it carries on traditional culture and arts in a modern way through diverse gugak performances and experience programs, and works to turn the festival into a regional tourism resource with programs tailored to local characteristics. It also aims to raise the cultural level of local residents and foster harmony among the county's people through voluntary participation.
