Seoul Fringe Festival 2026

Begun in Daehangno in 1998 under the name 'Independent Arts Festival,' the Seoul Fringe Festival is a festival where, every summer, artistic experiments gather in theater, dance, music, performance, film, visual art, exhibition, and the many forms no single genre can name. It passes no judgment on artists and makes no selection of works. Believing that 'anyone can become an artist,' it keeps the door of participation open to all. On a stage, in a park, in any space at all, it supports and cheers on those who want to express and try out the stories they want to tell. Through the courage to put oneself forward, experiments that cross the boundaries of genre, and the work of sharing responsibility and respect, we build true artistic freedom. This year, under the slogan 'That We Are Together,' the festival sets out to discover new ways of connecting that we need now.
