Capturing the value of Geumjeongsan, newly designated a national park in 2026, the Geumjeongsanseong Festival runs for three days from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Plaza and the surrounding fortress area.
Rooted in Geumjeongsanseong — a flagship cultural heritage of Busan's Geumjeong-gu and Korea's largest mountain fortress — and in Geumjeongsan National Park, it is a history, culture, and arts festival held each year to commemorate the fortress's construction. Continuing on from the Geumjeong Arts Festival begun in 1996, this year's Geumjeongsanseong Festival reveals a new charm of Geumjeong through diverse programs that weave together the ecology and nature of national-park Geumjeongsan with the history and culture of the fortress.
