About this event
The 2026 Gijang-gun Pet Culture Festival is a festival of communication and harmony where pets, their guardians, and local residents all come together. Now in its third year, this edition takes "Happy Coexistence with Companion Animals" as its theme, offering a richer, more varied program — a special time for pet owners and non-owners alike to enjoy together while learning and sharing in sound pet culture.
This year introduces new and engaging pet programs, including a "Pet Walkathon" where pets and guardians walk and bond together, and "K-Pet Got Talent," where talented dogs and cats from across the country gather to show off hidden flair and tricks.
Alongside a variety of hands-on, educational, and participatory programs, the festival also shares the joy of life with pets and the meaning of respecting life and responsible pet stewardship. Gijang-gun, the host, continues its wide-ranging efforts to spread pet culture and improve animal welfare, building a community where people and animals are happy together. This festival, too, aims through pet-and-guardian programs to foster mature pet culture and build communication and coexistence among all members of the community.
