Cheongyang Chili Pepper & Goji Berry Festival

Held as autumn begins, the Cheongyang Chili Pepper & Goji Berry Festival is a participatory festival for all ages, built around chili peppers and goji berries — Cheongyang-gun's signature specialties. Enjoy all-five-senses hands-on programs, a cooking show with celebrity chef Yeo Kyung-rae, a nationwide high-school cooking survival contest, giant kimchi-making, a goji-berry rice-cake mosaic, and "King of Spicy Guts" — a feast of food and spectacle.

A variety of food booths await, including a specialty-food experience village, a "spicy-drink & spicy-guts" zone, and a food-court dining area. The festival has expanded its kids' zone — adding a "Catch! Teenieping" show and photo zone, a wood-craft experience, and the Cheongyang Friends mascots (Cheong-yang-i, Cheong-chorong, Cheong-hong-i) — to widen family and children's programming.

Concerts by invited singers Song Ga-in, Park Ji-hyun, Park Hyun-bin, and Solji, plus the "Know the Cheongyang Groove" and resident-autonomy stages, round out a rich lineup of sights and delights — making this a flagship Chungcheongnam-do regional festival.
