The 2026 Jikji Culture Festival popularizes the value of Jikji, inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, and casts fresh light on its meaning as a symbol of innovation in the history of human printing and of shared knowledge. Under the theme 'Jikji, Opening the Door of Time,' the festival commemorates September 4, the anniversary of Jikji's inscription as documentary heritage, and is composed so that citizens and visitors can share its historical value and cultural meaning together. Through exhibition, experience, performance, and lecture programs that anyone can watch, enjoy, and linger over, it makes Jikji easier and more engaging to meet and offers the experience of a documentary culture alive and breathing through time.
