The 2026 Jikji Culture Festival popularizes the value of "Jikji" — inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register — and freshly illuminates the meaning of Jikji as a symbol of innovation in human printing technology and the sharing of knowledge.
Under the theme "Jikji, Opening the Door of Time," and marking September 4, the date of Jikji's inscription as a documentary heritage, the festival is designed so that citizens and tourists can share in its historical value and cultural meaning together. Through exhibitions, hands-on activities, performances, and lectures that anyone can see, enjoy, and linger over, it lets you meet Jikji more easily and with greater interest, experiencing the living value of record culture across the flow of time.
