Yuseong Chrysanthemum Festival

A flagship autumn festival of Daejeon's Yuseong-gu and a city representative festival since 2022, the 17th Yuseong Chrysanthemum Festival runs for 16 days from October 17 to November 1 in and around Yurim Park. Visitors will find varied exhibitions, experiences, and performances capturing both the chrysanthemum's innate beauty and the character of Yuseong, the science city. This year the Hanbit Tower, symbol of the science city, is reborn as a chrysanthemum sculpture installation, the Asta chrysanthemum garden extends down to Yuseongcheon stream below Eoeun Bridge, and cosmos-lined paths along Bandoji Pond and the stream's walking course widen the autumn flower scenery. A drawing-caricature robot, living-garden experiences such as terrariums, woodworking, chrysanthemum-themed programs, and performances by local universities and local artists round out the days, while moonlight busking, a candle garden concert, wishing lanterns, and the Chrysanthemum (Onbit) Cinema fill the nights with gentle after-dark content that invites visitors to stay longer. Receipt events run with nearby shopping districts along with a local restaurant map, giving the local economy a lift too. At the Yuseong Chrysanthemum Festival, where chrysanthemums and autumn blooms, science and art, culture and rest come together, visitors can collect a special autumn memory.
