Nakdong River Gupo Naru Festival

The 13th Nakdong River Gupo Naru Festival is the area's flagship cultural tourism festival, set in the beautiful Hwamyeong Ecological Park and built on the history and culture of Gupo, once the premier ferry crossing of the Nakdong River and a hub of river trade. Under the slogan 'Connect, Play, Meet! Gupo Naru,' it runs for three days from October 16 to 18 with performances, exhibitions, hands-on activities, and food that everyone, young and old, can enjoy together. Highlights include a recreated ferry landing where the old days of Gupo Naru come back to life, Gupo noodle platters and noodle-making experiences, ecology and wellness programs, and the Nakdong Book Fair. Resident-driven programs such as the Gupo Naru Singing Contest and 'Our Neighborhood' open busking add the pleasure of visitors and locals building the festival together. After sunset, night content carries on with the Gupo Naru night trail and the Garden of Light, joined by the Byeolbada Busan Night Market for a beautiful autumn evening on the Nakdong River. At Gupo Naru, where history and culture, nature and people, flavor and fun all come together, families, friends, and neighbors can share a special autumn memory.
