Dance of the Revolution boldly sheds the conventional narrative structure of traditional theater and unfolds in eight independent scenes. Each scene lights up fragmentary moments one might meet in the middle of a revolution, with no causal chain binding them. Yet the words and sounds relentlessly repeated on stage, the objects and light, and the actors' precise movement draw the work's hidden structure up to the surface. Through those repeated patterns the audience senses that the scenes are organically connected on a plane beyond the story, and comes face to face with a new experience in which the horizons of theater expand.
