Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival

The Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a resident-led fall flower festival held around Yongsugol in Seokgol-ri, Panbu-myeon, Wonju, Gangwon State. The fifth edition, in 2026, runs for thirteen days from September 23 to October 5. The festival grounds are a space where the villagers themselves plant and tend the flower beds, and they are distinguished by the many seasonal autumn flowers on display. The main blooms are crape myrtle along with sunflowers, cosmos, yellow cosmos, iris, globe amaranth, and asters, and visitors can enjoy flower beds arranged in several sections by flower type and color. During the festival, programs center on flower viewing and photography, and there will also be food stalls run by local residents and a space selling local agricultural specialties. The Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a seasonal, flower-themed festival held in autumn at Yongsugol, which hosts a corn poppy festival in spring.
