Jeonju International Picture Book Fair

The Jeonju International Picture Book Fair (JIPF) is Korea's flagship picture book culture festival, connecting with the world through picture books that have grown into global content. It is a special occasion to view original artwork by acclaimed authors from Korea and abroad up close, and alongside Korean picture book artists, each year a guest of honor is invited, spotlighting in depth a world-renowned picture book artist representing that country. The 5th edition features Taiwan's Jimmy Liao and Korea's Kim Dong-seong, unfolding from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026 in the exhibition halls of the Sori Arts Center of Jeonju under the theme 'Picturing the Memories'. During the festival, an opening ceremony leads into book exhibitions and talks by authors from home and abroad, a book market with participating publishers, and the Emerging Artists exhibition, which nurtures rising local talent. A rich array of book-based performances, experience programs, and conferences rounds out the event. The original picture book exhibition, carrying the festival spirit onward, then continues through Sunday, October 25, 2026.
