Cheonan Book Festival

The Book Festival is Cheonan's representative library book festival, where reading, hands-on fun, and play come together, organized with reading-related institutions including libraries, clubs, bookstores, and publishers. It runs as a reading-culture event for all citizens to enjoy, with meetings with authors, performances, experience booths, side events, and an outdoor library. This edition takes place at the sunken plaza of Cheonan Samgeori Park, featuring an opening ceremony, an award ceremony for the city's most avid readers, a family musical performance, and ensemble concerts. At the outdoor library, visitors can relax with a book under the autumn sun. Talks with Han So-gon, author of 'Gochujang Simbureom' (A Gochujang Errand), chosen as Cheonan's Book of the Year 2026, and with Lee Seo-su, author of 'Still, Keep Dancing', are also on the program. Beyond that, 16 experience booths and 13 bookstore and publisher booths offer a wide variety of reading activities. Admission is free.
