About this event
The side programs of the 2026 Korea Marine Mobility & Safety Expo are hands-on experiences designed to make the importance of maritime safety easy and fun to discover. Held around Busan Port's North Port Waterfront Park, they offer a variety of maritime-safety experiences and participatory content, giving citizens and tourists visiting the Expo a chance to deepen their interest in and understanding of maritime safety. Everyone can join with ease, from a personal marine photo zone created with AI technology and a life-jacket OOTD runway where you decorate and wear your own life jacket, to CPR practice and a Republic of Korea Coast Guard uniform try-on experience.
Visitors can also take the helm themselves in a ship-handling simulator, and virtually experience a range of maritime safety situations, from falls overboard to passenger-ship emergencies, in the marine VR experience hall. Further programs teach the correct use of real lifesaving equipment such as life jackets and life rafts, while a maritime-safety quiz helps safety rules sink in naturally. A stamp tour also links the varied content of the BPEX exhibition halls and North Port Waterfront Park. It is a program where you can take in the Expo's key content in one go, exploring future ships and autonomous navigation technology, eco-friendly marine technology, and maritime safety and AI technology, then joining the experience programs yourself — a special hands-on occasion to meet the future of marine technology and experience maritime safety first-hand.
