Paju Fair Book & Culture brings major publishers, writers, readers, and bookstores together in one place, offering a special occasion to look at and enjoy books from new perspectives rather than simply reading them. It presents citizens with performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and other diverse works of cultural art that spring from books as source content, steadily broadening the reach of reading culture. Going beyond Korea, it also serves as a global market that actively introduces outstanding K-Books and related content to overseas markets and opens new sales channels. The 2026 Paju Fair Book & Culture runs for about ten days with a rich lineup of programs. Performances range from the opening ceremony BOOKS ALIVE! to an indie music festival and dance festivals including one for youth. The book market Nan-geotdeul, with around 290 publishers and bookstores taking part, links with the in-house program Nan-jangpan and themed exhibitions to offer plenty to see. Youth companion programs include the Paju Brewery concert, the listening session Ildan Deureona Boja, and Booknic, an experience that lends out picnic gear. In addition, global publishing and IP business consultations and an international forum for overseas expansion broaden the reach of K-Books, while lectures, flea markets, and other rich cultural networking programs unfold across Paju Publishing City.
