The Wangsaeng-ro Light Street Festival is a two-night festival for night culture and local commercial revitalization, held on October 3 and 4 around the Wangsaeng-ro Culture Park in Nam-gu, Ulsan.
Its core purpose is to create a distinctive nightscape in a part of the city with heavy foot traffic, giving citizens more chances to enjoy culture while drawing visitors into nearby shopping streets to energize the local economy.
On site, high-quality light displays, including a media facade, a street-tree light show, laser fireflies, and a giant mirror ball, build the nighttime scenery, while a continuous lineup of diverse performances, from invited singers such as Min Kyung-hoon and Sohyang to DJs, busking, and street theater, maximizes the festival's drawing power. Alongside these, linger-friendly attractions such as a food zone, beer park, flea market, and hands-on programs extend visitors' time on site and naturally connect it to spending in the surrounding shopping streets.
