Yuseong Reading Festival

The 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival is a flagship regional reading culture festival held in Yuseong District, Daejeon, planned so that visitors can enjoy books, culture, and rest together outdoors. It was created to offer a special time of healing for body and mind, stepping away from busy daily life and connecting with neighbors through books. The festival is made up of diverse cultural programs so that visitors of many ages, from families and friends to couples, can spend meaningful leisure time at the venue. In particular, a large reading zone set in the open outdoor space blends with nature, and literature experience booths and multi-purpose exhibitions that anyone can freely join are open to all. Beyond these, the festival also runs a rich lineup of book-themed side events, including meetings with well-known authors, book talk concerts, reading appreciation events, and a book market joined by local bookstores and publishers. Going beyond simply reading books, the 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival is a key platform for cultural exchange, helping citizens rediscover the joy of reading in everyday life and contributing to a healthy reading ecosystem in the local community.
