About this event
Held every September to support young artists' creative work and broaden the base of youth culture and the arts, the Nam-gu Youth Arts Festival returns with a new generation of young artists. 'Fringe FESTA,' designed for small-scale artists, runs from Tuesday, September 1 to Friday, September 4 at Changgong Hall of the Daegu Music Creation Studio, while the 'Youth Arts Festival,' staged by large-scale teams, unfolds over two days on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11 at Dream Hall of the Daedeok Culture & Arts Center.
To open the stage to more artists, the 2026 festival has removed the participation guidelines for local artists and further strengthened practical benefits for the performing artists. Admission is free for all seats, and children aged 5 and up may enter.
The exhibition wing of the 2026 Nam-gu Youth Arts Festival features 104 young artists from the art schools that represent the region: the College of Fine Arts of Keimyung University, the Department of Fine Arts of Dongseo University, and the Department of Fine Arts of Pusan National University.
'Young Artists: ART CONNECT,' spanning painting, media, visual design, craft design, webtoons and other genres of fine art, runs from Tuesday, August 18 to Friday, September 18 in Exhibition Rooms 1-3 of the Daedeok Culture & Arts Center. Admission is free, and the galleries close every Sunday.
