The 2026 Jung-gu Book Festival opens its second chapter, building on the diverse reading cultures and communities discovered throughout Jung-gu during the 2025 festival to connect them and expand relationships across the city.
Chapter 2, "Connecting with One Another," reads Jung-gu like a single book layered with accumulated stories. Following the time stacked up in the alleyways, the memories lingering in the old downtown, the lives of its people, and the feelings the district holds, the festival rediscovers and weaves together the stories that already live within Jung-gu. The festival creates a space where books become a medium connecting person to person, place to memory, and the city to its reading culture. It is a time to share the depth of Jung-gu's stories and the possibilities of its reading culture together.
